Shaylene Sweet9/22/2005-11/7/2019Its with a very heavy heart that I must write this. My dearly beloved Shih Tzu, Shaylene, age 14 (98 human years) has passed away and gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Shaylene was born September 22, 2005 of Champions on both sides of her lineage. She came to me as a Christmas present from my husband Dave, on December 18, 2005, while we were in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a very calm, easy to train fur baby, even though we were traveling in the Motor Home around the country. Shaylene has lived a wonderful life. She has been from Maine to Florida and from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and touching her toes in both oceans and the Gulf of Mexico , even though she hated getting her feet wet! Shay has been to 35 states, Washington DC, and has been just across the river and looking at Canada and Mexico. She especially loved going to my sisters place on the water in Cape Cod and running unleashed on the beach. During our travels she has been on top of the Rocky Mountain National Park near Denver, and below sea level at the Death Valley National Park Salt Flats, as well as watching fireworks in Las Vegas on New Years Eve. Amongst other places, shes been to several Southern California beaches, Florida beaches, Niagara Falls, Everglades National Park, the high desert of California, Los Angeles, and in Hollywood she was on the stairs where they do the Oscars and met Darth Vader. Shes also been to several churches, on two Indian Reservations and on boats and motorbikes, and held by a Border patrol guard in New Mexico. Shes had a permanent address in both Virginia and Connecticut. She has played with big dogs, including a Great Dane, little dogs, cats, and a Ferret. She has checked out ducks and chickens, and looked at an alligator. Shaylenes loved all the people shes met, and been a playmate to many animals. Her very favorite foods were Angus beef Porterhouse steak and Reddi Whip whipped cream, which she had for her birthday party. She was always calm and rarely barked. She had weekly baths, slept in our bed, and had a wardrobe that could rival some womens closet. She had an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini, many coats, sweaters, dresses including a $45.00 one that her Daddy bought her in San Antonio, and her own jewelry collection. Shes led an incredible and awesome life, and is now going to be seeing her Daddy again, and they will wait together for Mommy to join them. I have never had such a wonderful fur baby in all my life. She was very loyal, devoted, always easy going, calm, quiet, very loving, and happy. I could take her most anywhere and she was always welcome. My life without her wont be the same. No fur baby will ever be as loved as she was, so Ive decided shes my final baby. I loved her with all my heart, so its a very sad farewell. So Shay, go find Jesus, your Daddy Dave, Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Harry, your neighbor Uncle Howie, your friends Otie, Roxie, Lucky, Sami, and Princess and all the others you met on this earth. Run, play and have fun. Gain your wings and Mommy will see you later. I love you so much my Sweet Shay. Xoxoxo Your loving Mommy,Eileen
